ENGIE

Axiles Bionics is a Brussels-based spin-off of Brubotics (VUB) specialising in robotics, artificial intelligence, and biomechanics, which strives to improve the quality of life of people through new bionic technologies. Their aim today is to provide amputees with a new generation of bionic feet, with the Lunaris being the first step towards a next-generation of bionic feet!

The challenge

Axiles Bionics requested the help of Necko Technologies to improve their cloud security posture and maintain best practices at scale. With the specialized technical expertise of Necko Technologies, they were able to structure their infrastructure and application while following best practices on the AWS cloud.

The solution

Necko Technologies conducted a Well-Architected Review and worked with the client to address the identified risks. This included creating a well-structured organisation, implementing protection policies, setting up a multi-account environment, implementing a unified identification system with the identity provider and centralising logging with CloudTrail. Axiles Bionics then imported the existing infrastructure and software using an Infrastructure as Code approach and in a multi-account environment. Based on this new infrastructure, advanced data analysis applications were developed.

The benefits

Security
The system offers reliable and secure connections and follows AWS best practices including Well-Architected principles.
Serverless
Thanks to its serverless architecture, the app is infinitely scalable.
Cost effective
The solution is scalable and depends on the workload. Only the necessary compute resources are really used.
